It is especially important that we vote in the Spring Election on April 7, 2020 and support our endorsed candidates. In this unique election season with the COVID-19 coronavirus public health emergency in the state of Wisconsin, we want to be sure you are informed about important voting options and deadlines.

Our Wisconsin AFL-CIO Absentee and Early In-Person Voter Guide breaks down, step-by-step, how to request an absentee ballot and how to vote early in-person before Election Day.

  • Spring Election Day is Tuesday, April 7

Early in-person voting at municipal clerk’s offices or designated early voting location has begun in many municipalities and will continue until the Sunday before Election Day, April 5. Check with your municipal clerk as local hours and times vary.

You can request an absentee ballot be mailed to you until 5:00 p.m. on April 2, the Thursday before the Election. All absentee ballots must be returned to your municipal clerk no later than 8:00 pm on Election Day (April 7). You can request an absentee ballot online at http://myvote.wi.gov/ or by sending a request to your municipal clerk by mail, fax, or email.
